Cellulite Treatments
Cellulite is a very common problem that many people suffer from. There are many products on the market that claim to treat or remove cellulite. However, creams don't usually work and there are really only a few ways that are truly effective in treating the appearance of cellulite.
Cellulite is the dimples in the skin, usually found on the upper thighs and buttocks that are the result of fat pockets just below the skin's surface. No amount of exercise and toning can rid the body of cellulite. Cellulite requires specific cellulite treatment. There are medical treatments for the removal of cellulite, which include lipodisolve injections and liposuction surgery, but there are also effective noninvasive treatments, considered spa treatments, such as Endermologie and acoustic wave therapy.
Endermologie is very popular and works by deeply massaging and stretching the skin to break up the connective tissue that effectively traps the cellulite. While Endermologie is very effective, resulting in a reduction in cellulite and sometimes up to three inches less cellulite, it does take several thirty-minute sessions to be effective. Most people need to have 14 – 28 treatments 1 – 2 times per week to notice significant results.
Acoustic wave therapy uses pressure waves to go deep into the skin to promote skin elasticity and the production of collagen. Acoustic wave therapy is very effective and takes fewer treatment sessions that Endermologie. Acoustic wave therapy sessions last about a half hour, but most people only need about six treatments to notice significant results.
Both of the noninvasive treatments, Endermologie and acoustic wave therapy, are not permanent solutions that treat the appearance of cellulite. They are not cellulite removal treatment options. They do work to smooth and tone the appearance of skin, but people will need continual treatments over time to maintain the smooth appearance that they achieve using either treatment form.
